Every couple have a song(s) that mean something special to them. This is one of our two! Truly timeless..I always feel lyrics are as important as the score.. could never enjoy a song with bad lyrics however good the score might be..Cant really spot the difference between Latha Mangeshkar then and now! The song is great no doubt but would have to agree with yout thoughts on Lata Mangeshkar's voice.
I think the time has come when she should gracefully retire.
She does not have the same melody she used to have 10-15 years back. I think the most melodious voice in bollywood today is that of Shreya Ghoshal and the most versatile - that of Sunidhi Chowhan.
