The young one’s summer holidays have started and how..
She won two year end awards and a gold merit certificate for the term. She had received a book gift certificate. I had told her because I was happier at work, I would like to reward her with a kindle book for her support. So, now she passed on her gift certificate to me saying she would reward me for my support. :)
Our American neighbour very sweetly dropped a card for the little one along with some beautifully presented flowers from her garden. She had written a note about how she missed R during quarantine and the yellow flowers reminded her of R’s sunshiny nature..;). R was of course thrilled to see it once she came home.
As school has ended, the usual culprits decided to go to Dove dale. We had ordered food from our friend and started at noon. Though we had visited 5 years earlier with another family, this trip was very different and surprisingly even more fun. We had a great time, we climbed right to the top of the peaks, enjoyed a wonderful view in pleasant weather and had a nice time all round. We started back at 8pm but landed in S’s house. Had S’s usual sumptuous fare, chatted till 12 and left oh so happy.
12 hours of great fun and the best part was kuttima saying..’thank you amma, I had such a great day!’...and that is what makes my day ;)
We have little A’s birthday get together to look forward to today especially as my R loves him to absolute bits.
